Love Patel is an undergraduate student at Columbia University majoring in Biomedical Engineering, with minors in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Philosophy, and Political Science. Passionate about the intersections of science, technology, and society, he plans to pursue graduate and professional studies in law, medicine, business, and engineering after graduation.
He is a Gates Scholar and has been recognized with several prestigious fellowships, including the Guthikonda Fellowship and the Société de Chimie Industrielle Summer Fellowship. Love is actively involved in various academic and professional organizations on campus, including Columbia Undergrad Law Review (CULR), Youth for Debate (YFD), Engineers Without Borders (EWB), and the Residence Hall Leadership Organization (RHLO), among others.
Outside of academics, he enjoys cooking, taking long walks, having deep philosophical discussions, and constantly exploring new ideas.
